Wow that is a tidy bug. Amazing colour. Yep, that last picy is a nightmare. Blimey, what a helpless feeling preparing for a shunt from the driver in the mirror . Benny looks a little cutie well done stevec. Hope you get that bend out without too much fuss jelli. Nowadays crash victims have a definite choice of repairers when faced with fault insurance details. They will of course do their best to steer you to a body repair agent that has special discounts to the broker. Beware of the dangled carrot of a runabout vehicle, while they undertake to repair the car with cheap panels. You must stipulate good quality panels and not Brazilian cheap rubbish that will be offered to the repairer by motor factors. Getting hold of that deck lid might be a problem Steve. All the Best , Steve. (three Steve's on the same thread...cool. )

It's finally gone in for repairs. Well, it wasn't there when I got home last night - so it's either been nicked oris actually at the repairers.
OI 'dundee', thanks for the avatar!!!!!!

Well, just a brief ? update on 'Bluebell' I should get her back in a couple of weeks. The insurers have authorised a new engine , so fitting a bigger one has been postponed indefinately. While she's in there I am having some work done to the front and rear wings. The correct year rear lenses are being fitted and I am also having the ugly front indicators removed and the wings smoothed over. I'll incorporate some small indicators into the yank bumpers when I fit them. If I don't get them done now, it will 'upset' me everytime I look at her. The rear 'H' panel has been fitted this week, so things are moving ahead.

Holy floorpans robin! An update of 'bluebell'. Well looking at the date of my last 'update' and f**k all seems to have progressed I am having the correct year tail lights fitted and the incorrect top of wing front indicators removed. all panel work appears to have been done and it's now in primer. The guy at Beetspeeps went on holiday on the 25th for 2 weeks. He has promised to paint it first week back. The replacement engine was suposed to arrive and be fitted last week, but the latest on that is arrival Tuesday (25th)this week. Apparently it was special order due to the early flywheel. It's been about 14 weeks since the accidient and I am now starting to get a wee bit upset. I did originally intend to run as a daily, but as summer has gone (did it ever arrive?) I'll probably put her away for the winter. I will still need to fit the yank bunpers, wire in indicators, slam and fit the polished raders. Jellibus.

Would you Adam n eve it I got a call yesterday :-( The engine has had to be sent back down to 'vege'. It ran beautiful for a couple of minutes, but then developed a slight knocking. So, out it came and on the lorry back to 'vege' it went. As it was a special build, who knows when I'll get it back? It never rains but it does p*** it down sometimes :-(

She's home. about time too. Got the tail-lights working, but still need to sort out the indicators. I'll probably run as is, mainly because it's too cold to roll around on the floor removing a beam
