Hi just found your website ! I moved to Moor Monkton (~6 miles west of York on the A59) from Kent about ~18 months ago and bought my beloved 66 11 window up with me. I've been out of the scene for a couple of years now and my bus has been laid up for most of that time. However, I've now got myself a new job in Harrogate which has freed up loads more time so I'm on a mission to get my bus on the road and get with the scene. I only need to finish a dual-circuit conversion and she should be good for the MOT (famous last words !) I'd love to get involved with your club, so as soon as I'm back on the road I'll come along to a meet and say hello. Would be grateful if anyone can help with my question re. sympathetic MOT stations posted in www.chocksaway.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=15456oh, and that's my bus in the pic. on our way back from Stonor Park in 2003. She was in "bump start only" mode which got us to Stonor ok and generally served us well...until we stalled...you guessed it...on a steep hill. Still, the AA got us home and the kids loved it ! cheers, Gareth.

Welcome to our club...... ;D ;D ;D Could you send me your email address to hdvwclub@hotmail.com I'll add you to our mailing list to keep you up to date.
I couldnt get the link to work. There are a few MOT places around Harrogate that like old VW's but i'll try the link again later on. Hermann

Hi Gareth Would be good to meet you, your kids should be okay at the pub as long as they hide under the table....only kidding, the pub are laid back, the MOT station at Ripley is VERY sympathetic with aged vehicles and if you need any help and you need a garge to help you (But it doesn't sound like you do) then try Nick or Andy at www.rpmspecialistcars.co.uk and tell them Derek asked you to call them.
