Just wanted to replace my axle boot and came to the shock that my axle has broken of from the disc in the gearbox! Question is, can I weld this together again if I take out the axle of the gearbox. And how many gaskets do I need to put in between the 6 bolted plate? Think it is broken becouse I replaced the gearbox about a year and a half ago, and I only put in one gasket in there and it was a bit tight! And can I replace or ad some gaskets to the other axle without taking it of, do I need to cut the gasket? Is this wise, have anybody done this before? Any advice would be nice, thanks. Alex.

That sounds like it could be dangerous Alex, is there nothing holding the axel to the gearbox then? Hope you get it sorted quick. Cheers Mick
