Anyone know the torque setting for the six little nuts for the oil filter? I saw in the book it said oil drain plug is at 22 but it didnt mention the 6 small ones? I've tightened them up to 22 apart from 1 that is spinning but does feel tight-ish probably about 15
Cheers H

10 foot pounds............you haven't stripped the thread in the case have you Hermann, if the nut is "Spinning" you may have done, be very carefull with any stud in your cas, the case is magnesium and is very soft metal compared to the stud which is tempered mild srteel.
If you have striped the thread in one particular stud you can go one size up after tapping, I think from memory they are 6mm in the oil drain so you could go 6.5mm

I had 6 and replaced all of them with new stainless raised nuts. when i un-did the nuts one of the studs came out but now that one is fine. now i have aproblem with a differnt stud. 10 does seem quite soft, it was a real pain i put the 2 new carboard gaskets on and then before i could tighten all of the nuts oil was leaking out and i was cleaning it up as i was tightening the nuts. I think its done ok. i filled the engine with new oil and then ran the engine for 10min before heading home. If the weather was looking better then i would have gone for a drive. end of the day the other 5 nuts are tightened to 22 foot pounds if thats too tight then i can un-do that last one i can undo it and put a flat nut on next week I've been wax-oyl ing the underside of the van as well and last week a big drip dropped near my eye. I didnt know hoe toxic this nuts was and my skin on my left of my face has dried and cracked. I've learnt my lesson to wear really protective gear eye goggles and mask to cover my whole face. the point of this is I want to really blather the underside of the van with wax-oyl in a thick coat

A much better product than waxoil is a spray on (You can by it by the can) underseal by Wurth, not cheap but dead easy to apply
