Hello peeps,
I need to replace my disc's and pads on my 71 bay (71 only calipers) and I was wondering if anyone has tried the crossdrilled disc's, which say it increases braking...!!!!!
I wondered if buying them which are more expensive is worth it. i.e. pro's and con's. Standard against crossdrilled from Heritage.
Any help or advice gladly recieved
Thanks in advance
Simon

Cross drilled brake discs allow less carbon build up and also allow for better cooling of the discs therefore better braking without fading and they are not prone to severe rusting which you can fail your MOT on, if the cost difference is neglible I would suggest cross drilled.

Fount or back, or both haha. When i got my rear disk conversion for the bug I was going to get cross drilled but I would have to replace the front standard disks to cross drilled as well. Its all to do with the brake balance, fronts do more of the work. TBH I don’t know much about it but if you get it wrong you will have some serious locking up issues.
I would recommend ringing Machine7 and having a chat with them. Very friendly guy and he knows his stuff. 08707 668456

I will give machine 7 a buzz and see what they say.....
The disc's are abit more money but may be I should give them a try and it might help braking down big hills ( they might stay a bit cooler!)
As my bus doesn't have servo assitance, I just wanted to increase the quality of the braking without the major outlay and work invloved of up grading to later front calipers.
Thanks for you replies
Cheers
