Hi All The Harrogate & District VW Club 2nd Anniversary camping trip will take place on the 15-17th June 2007 at Beacon farm, nr Whitby It will be a great weekend…. If you haven’t put your name down yet then, just add it onto the bottom of the list on the forum:
Camping is available on both Friday & Saturday night. The price is £5/6 per unit per night – Electric hook-up is available in advance (cant get much better than that)
The Friday cruise will depart Congyham Hall, Knaresborough at 7pm and will make a brief stop at the garden centre on the A59 near York before heading to Beacon Farm. The Saturday convoy will leave from Conygham Hall, Knaresborough at 9/9:30am to Beacon Farm. We can meet the folks from York at the Garden Centre around 10/10:15am (ish) to save you from coming through to Knaresborough. Of course the cruise is optional & you can meet us there if you wish.
We want to do a Raffle on the Club Camping at Whitby...and we need YOU!
The plan is that everybody brings a prize to the Club Camping, in the range of about £1.00 / £5.00 , whatever you can donate as a prize really, its all a bit of fun. If you don't bring in a prize, you may still buy the raffle tickets, and all money goes to the club!
We're going to sell the tickets on the Saturday and Sunday and the Raffle will be held at 12noon on the Sunday!
There will be a few grand prices to be won, SO COMMON AND HELP THE CLUB, BY DONATING YOUR PRICE!
The H&D VW Club Team.

The site at Howe Steen Gorge is called Stud Fold Farm, we stayed there last September. Its a nice little site in a great location. Here's the link to it www.studfoldfarm.co.uk I spoke to the owner when we were there about the possibility of a small club rally and he said there wouldn't be a problem but he does get very busy from late June onward and through the main holidays. If we can get some idea of numbers and a date I don't mind getting in touch with them and try to sort something out. Herman, what about a poll for the members? Whitby, Lakes, or Local? And some possible dates, how about a weekend in between the two bank holidays in May. Cheers Mick

**UPDATE**
Because the whitby weekend was rained off we have re-scheduled the 2nd Anniversary Camping Weekend to the 31st August - 2nd September at How Steen Gorge. If you would like to attend please start a list below. Mick has kindly booked the site for the club and the details are as follows: When we know how many want to go they will require a deposit of £10 per unit (van or tent). A motorhome/campervan is £10 per night plus £2.50 for hookup for those who want it.
