Well were to start my names Grahame and just bought my first VW.
Its a '72 beetle original colour was red but been resprayed pink and now started to be resprayed black by previous owner. Its a complete rolling shell bar the engine and interior. I think it may have been in scrapyard and picked up with a grab as there is damage to the roof edges themselves.
Its going to be a complete nut and bolt rebuild from ground up, which i will then be giving it to my mother for her birthday. She wanted one for her 50th but thats over 6 years away so plenty of time i hope  thankfully she has no idea i have it.
anyways spotted it on ebay and managed to win it for the grand total of £160 quid only problem was it was down in maidstone so sunday morning loaded up with car trailer on back of land rover discovery and a £140 full tank of diesel me and my dad set off at 6 in the morning to collect her. After sorting all documentation etc we set off back home and getting her into the workshop ready for the fun and games to start this saturday.
anyways less of the talking ill let the pictures do the talking now chow for now :wave:
Welcome, and a great story and hope to see your progress pics as you go......!!! If you need any help or advice along the way let us all know and I'm sure someone will know the answer or know how to help.
hi progress pictures will be uploaded as and when ive been able to work on her. This weekend is major strip down, so not looking forward to getting some of these bolts out. As for help and advice i will need lots of that later on and proberly with other things
I like a rescue and rebuild. As per biscuit if you need help or advise just ask. We all probably have had 'experiences' with different suppliers and can help point you in the right direction. Some parts/panels etc differ greatly in quality and fit.
