Dixon's Hollow is a great place for a BBQ as there is that huge car park where we can line up(and make plenty of noise without bothering other people) and is also the start of the long family route and other routes or you can just blast over the jumps..we are sorting out our holiday diary at the moment but when we have done so I can sort out a date ..would you prefer it as a first sunday of the month do?? (although that may rule me out of may or june as we are away) How about mid may or mid June ??
Did our first family trip to dalby today and got very muddy but had a great time ;D
With regards to the BBQ, I need club members to let me know dates of shows that they are attending so I can organise a date. I propose we all meet up in Eastgate carpark in pickering and cruise up to dalby forest and then head for Dixons hollow (can have a nice slow convoy up there)...we can all do a bit of biking on various routes and then crack open the beers and fire up the BBQ's when we return.
Right I've been looking at dates and I can do Sunday 12th June..It looks as though it doesn't clash with too many shows...shall I make this the date and do a new thread...does that fit in with other people?
Hi Guys, Dalby is about 10mins from our house. Mate of ours is the forest centre manager (the cafe/visitor centre thing). If you can sort a date out and would like I can try to see if she will put aside some reserved parking for everyone to get together - if your interested just shout up and I'll see what she says Kat
So can we get this one in the book then ? Sunday 12th June...Meet up at Eastgate carpark in Pickering at say 11am...Cruise up to Dalby and Circle our wagons at Dixons Hollw...do some Biking and then have a BBQ from 2-3pm......How does that sound.....If OK if Alex could put an E-Mail around
