I have been looking into lowering my T4 work van and have source/found some heavey duty springs for the rear to drop the back end, but have been searching to find out how the front end adjusts.
Any advice or somewhere to ask?

I lowered our T4 which I use as an everyday and comfort camping. Done 3,000 mile since without issue. There is a concern regarding the brake pressure regulator which works from back suspension. My van has a heavy duty rear suspension. but the thiner caravelle type springs worked well. I suppose if you are still using the van for heavy work then the heavy duty lowered ones are defo the way to go. Its a doddle; The best way involves the use of a garage wheel free lift. I did'nt, so did it a side at a time. To the rear of the front suspension at each side you can easily locate a large threaded stud. wire brush the threads and spray with Wd40. Leave it to work in for a couple of days. Jack a side up and rest the wheel on a block just to reduce the weight a little, yet keeping the secure weight on the trolley jack. Undo the nut on the stud about 35mm down the stud, this should lower the van 3" at the front. Repeat the excercise at the oppo side and there you are. The earlier type 4's have a lock nut which is better to securely nip the main nut on the thread. I had to get locknuts for ours. Careful not to dislodge the bar from the holding pivot. Keeping just a little weight on the block will help. If I remember right 12mm on the stud = 25mm at the wheel. Use a tape measure so if you need to readjust you know by how much and of course to adjust equally. The T4 forum has a great lowering info thread.

Cheers for the Info matey, I will go underneath on Sat morning and assess what I need to do, and clean it all up ready. I need to buy the springs but there does seem alot of different ones but I do want/ need heavy duty ones so I can still use it for work.
once I've bought them I'll have a go at it.

I have cleaned up the nuts and all moving bits in prep for the dropping day........!!!! ;D
T4 eibach springs on Bluebirds website look like the fella's I need.
Good diagram and info on the Brickyards site, Thanks for that. I now think that I could do in a morning!!! Maybe a day, with a bit of tweeking!!!! ;D

Simon,
I put the bluebird ones on mine as the old ones that were already on were s***. They drop the bus by about 45-50mm (believe me thats enough)
Dont forget to get shocks for the front as well.
If you do the back first then at least you can adjust the front to suit
