After owning Marmite our Westfalia Continental for 2 years, he has now gone to be restored by the skill full hands of Metalflake Dave and his dad Mick.
Due to the originality of the van (only having 2 owners) and its complete perfect original interior, keeping it stock is the way its going to stay. Surviving nearly 40 years it would be a shame to start changing the spec of it now.
So once the bodywork has been finished a nice fresh coat(s) of Pastel white will be applied as when it rolled of the VW production line.
The Wheels are painted, the new canvas is on (photo below shows half way through installation), all windows in, and the engine is back in along with the new carbs, fuel and vac hoses and a full service
However the starter motor has packed up so a new one is being installed aswell.
Then after a final tune up, polish, mudflaps, and MOT his ready to come home.
