Posted on SSVC but I'd see if the Yorkshire brains have any idea's.... I am not getting full throttle on my 32/36 weber. With the accelerator flat to the floor (and I have adjusted the lip on it too) I am only getting 3/4 opening....the only way I can see of getting full throttle is to have a longer pushrod made(the one thet attatches the pedal to the linkage)..What do you guys think? will this work (I have heard that it is a bit of a PITA to get progressive carbs to work properly) have only noticed a problem recently now we are hauling more weight and will have more next year when I get the trailer on......OR should I just give up and buy a pair on twin 34 webers (would like to get the current weber working properly if I can..... Any advice gratefully recieved

ah that old chestnut, the answer lies in the travel from accelerator pedal to spigot under the floorpan to the linkage, there should be (From memory) I will check my files to see what info I have

Well Derek I think I have persuaded myself to get a pair of 34's and sell the 32/36 (even though I have been happy with the carb, a bit more power and a bit better MPG wouldn't go amiss)

Fair enough, great choice, a bar steward to start in winter without chokes though, I would also reccomend you get your van on a rolling road and get them rejetted (They will definately not be jetted for your van), the place I have used in the past is RPM motorsport at East Driffield (Not so far from your place) (Snowman has also used them) here is the link www.kp-motorsport.co.uk/

Cheers Derek, I was going to go on a rolling road, have ordered the carbs from Dellorto who recon the jetting should be right but we'll see. Thanks for the link. Don't use the van so much in winter and it's garaged so hopefully shouldn't be too much of a problem...is the standard fuel pump up to the job?

I personally would install an electric fuel pump but I guess it would be best to try them first before you decide if the mechanical fuel pump is man enough

i ran a pair of 34s on my 1776 with a stock pump and no probs. they are great carbs , good on fuel too. and easy to set up. KP in Driffield are v good , just make sure you ask them if they have a selection of jets to suit your carbs before you go otherwise you could have a wasted journey.
