I thought that I recognised the description of the Beetle! - I work at the Railway Museum in York and one of my mates who helped get my 1969 Beetle MOT'd was on the door overseeing registration in the museum. Pleased to hear that you had a good day out. Are those whitewall tyres or inserts by the way?

YEAH WAS A GREAT DAY, VERY TIRING. NOT WHITE WALLS OR INSERTS JUST CREAM POWDER COATED STEEL WHEELS MATE.

A BIT SAD I KNOW BUT HAS ANYONE SPOTTED OUR ENTRY NUMBER ON THE RALLY PLATE? 653 AND OUR START TIME WAS 8:53am. HERBIES NUMBER WAS 53............ IT WAS A GOOD OMEN!!!
