I am looking for some new wheels for the Golf ;D Trouble is, I have no idea on sizes...... The wheels that are on at the moment are 14" 4 stud and the tyre size is 185/60R14. Do I have to stick with 14 inch wheels or could I beef them up a little to 15" or 16"? I don't want to have to mess around with spacers and stuff - ideally they should be 'bolt straight on'. Do I need to look at lower profile tyres if I'm looking at larger rims? I have seen some nice Wolfrace wheels that are pretty well priced: wolfrace-alloys.co.uk/Wolfrace+Triad_c33569_33570_8814.htmThanks

All golf gti mk3 models + VR6 were all 5 stud (very early gti's were actually 4 stud) So thats virtually all the gti wheels out. But mk3 gti's came with 205/50/15 you can go upto 15" no problem at all. 16" will fit no problem unless you have the car a lot lower than standard, then you may get some arch rub. But the good thing with 15" wheels is that tyres at this size are well priced, as many cars run 15" these days. I would go for 195 50 R15's my self on a 6.5" rim PS if you want to try on a 15" to check for size, call over and I have some you can try. Chris They should look spot on, keep us informed
