Hi, I have recently bought a 1982 Devon Camper and so far very pleased with it. I do however have some concerns regarding a noisy 3rd gear, its fine in 1,2 & 4th. The noise sounds like it's coming from the front of the vehicle, but I suspect its possibly vibration coming through from the gearbox. The noise sounds very similar to a spinning break disk and the pad is stuck to it! If I depress the clutch the sound disappears and also when I take my foot of the gas pedal the noise stops too.
Any ideas? Many thanks

Hi Edwards, welcome to the club... I think you problem lies with your clutch , not sure but sounds like it to me! Anybody else out there know what the problem could be... Is your van something like this... we have a few members with almost the same van, maybe they can help? otherwise ask on Club 80-90, www.club80-90.co.uk/ lots on there...!

Hi, many thanks for the reply and your thoughts. I will try as you suggest the 80/90 site, but I guess I really need to take it to a garage. (Any reccomondations in the Harrogate area?)
Yes my van is the same as the picture you have shown, its a 1982 T25 Devon conversion, 2.0.
Thanks again for your help.
