Hi, Does anybody have any view on whether plastic pushrod tubes are any good? This is for a 1600 Beetle. I won't be there tomorrow as the Beetle is still in resto at the moment hence the pushrod tube question. Thanks Paul

i've replaced all leaky pusrod tubes on the van and beetle with the empi blue ones... I'm not 100% that they are good because they have a rubber gasket that tightens up with 2 nuts. i've tightned them up very tight and i still think they leak a little. if you look at that blue cab in volksworld they have the spring type. i think i'll try that type next. the + to using these over stock pushrod tubs is if the seals have perished then you do not need to remove the cylinder hears to replace the seals. however the stock ones are the way the engine was designed. has anyone else used the spring type over the stockones?

I have decided to go for the spring type pushrods for ease of fitting. Paul
