Hello we are picking up our 1975 Westfalia next week , so excited. It has the original radio fitted and there are speakers. How do we get a set up for playing our ipod through the speakers , any suggestions? We don't want to mess up the dashboard by taking the radio out if possible. All the best. Barbara .

Hi Barbara, Exciting times ahead in your new Camper, any pics? I have a original stereo in the dash board of my 1971 Bay, I also have the need for cd's and ipod, so I have installed a new stereo in the glove box. Disconnected the ariel, power and speaker wires from the old unit and just leave the unit there. pull the wires across to the rear of the glove box linner and make a small hole to put the wires through. Connect the new unit and sit it in the botton of the glove box and close the lid, job done!!!!! Having a modern stereo out of sight is also a good idea, and you keep the van looking original too. Alternatively my local car Shop in Kippax sells a new unit that looks like the old ones but has a cd player and usb connectors etc. about £130 ish I think!!!! Just a note to be aware of the old units are differnet size to the new units so if you want to put a new one into the dash then it might need to be cut to make the hole bigger. hope this helps Cheers Simon
