Hi Guys Got a 73 westfalia and cannot work out how the bedboard fits into the roof properly or how it is supposed to be transported or stored when not in use? The guy that sold it to us handed it over in two pieces, the hinges had rusted off and said he had never used it for similar reasons? Could anyone give us an idea please?
Thanks for your time Robyn

Hi, Hope these help. The bed is 2 sections. 1 large which is the bed and a 1 small piece which is the headboard. The headbord hinges on the main bed section underneath and on the roof of the van should be a little wire bracket for it rest on, after youve climbed up and pulled the head board up. It parks when not in use on the underside via the 2 press stud thingys. The actual bed sits on 2 hinges towards the front of the van which are bolted to the roof and 2 rubber stops. the bed then if not in use can then push up into the pop top and fastened via the toggles.
