I'm glad your happy with your bug Ben, it makes the job so worthwhile when the effort is so greatly appreciated. Sorry I wasn't there to see you pick her up! I saw the post on VW and I am intrigued as to your purchases today! You will have to let me know what you have been buying!?!?! Take it easy

Well here she is just before hitting the mean streets of N Yorks. and road legal-ish with some headlights and shiny new hubcaps. Next week she is having her front beam tinkered with so should become a bit more streamlined - none of that cant go round a mini roundabout or scraping bits out of the road silliness though. Gonna try and keep it sensible-ish

What a dilemma, yea I do like the stock height - thats why I sold the dropped spindles I bought at dub freeze 2 days later.
I just want to see what it's like a bit lower - see if I like it - that's why I'm getting some adjusters fitted - best of both worlds, I can have it dropped so the t-bars dont look too out of place - or put the us spec bumpers back on on and raise it to stock height.

As you can see mine is lowered on dropped spindles and its very much lower then yours, you will drop about 3-4 inch I guess on the front, my back end is droped a spline I think but not done it myself, so could have done a mixture of inner and outer spline twisted left and right for the perfect hight?

Looking better with a mild lowering. But just as the sun has started to come out she's failed her MOT.. I knew the steering was a bit slack so sorted some new king and link pins - turns out it was the steering box all along - I had enjoyed taking up the slack before every corner but a new one is probarly for the best

Fantastic paint job and colour choice. That pic of the interior is one cool pic.
As for the lowering..... Leave totally stock. (my god what am I saying!!!!) Seriously, your bug looks too nice and OG to alter.
I love slammed rides, and my bug is going to be on the deck.... but if it looked like yours, I wouldn't do it. No way.
Keep it stock.
(must go find my medication!!!!!!!!)
